What is Pathway to Portugal?+

Pathway to Portugal is a relocation readiness and planning platform designed to help people prepare for and manage the many moving parts involved in relocating from the United States to Portugal. Rather than simply giving you another checklist, Pathway helps you understand where you are in your relocation journey, identify what deserves your attention, organize your next steps and track your progress over time. The Pathway experience is built around our 4S Transition Framework™: Prepare, Arrive, Settle and Stabilize.

Is Pathway to Portugal a relocation company?+

No. Pathway is not a traditional relocation company and does not replace immigration attorneys, tax professionals, real estate professionals or other licensed specialists. Pathway provides relocation-readiness tools, planning resources, educational information and personalized organizational support to help you better understand and manage your move.

Is the PMRI a visa eligibility test?+

No. The PMRI measures relocation readiness, not legal eligibility for a Portuguese visa or residence permit.

Will my PMRI score change when I complete tasks?+

No. Completing Roadmap or Move Tracker activities does not automatically rewrite your original PMRI assessment. PMRI measures readiness; ongoing relocation progress is tracked separately.

What is my Personalized Roadmap?+

Your Personalized Roadmap organizes relocation activities across Prepare → Arrive → Settle → Stabilize. It is designed to turn relocation preparation into manageable activities rather than one long generic checklist.

What happens when Pathway can't verify something?+
